Start Your Build Off Right

Planning a new build, shed or home addition? Every project begins with a slab that’s properly designed and poured to support the structure above. A concrete slab provides the stability and strength that keeps everything level and secure for years to come. When it’s done right, it prevents movement, cracking and moisture problems before they can start.

At All Around Concreting, we handle every stage of slab construction from site preparation and formwork to reinforcement and finishing. Our house and shed slabs are poured with care, compacted correctly and built to meet Australian Standards. Whether for a new home, extension or workshop, we make sure your project begins with a solid foundation that’s accurate, durable and ready for construction.

House Slabs

A house slab is the foundation of any strong and lasting build. It’s designed to support the weight of the home while managing movement, drainage and insulation from the ground below. Before the concrete is poured, the site is assessed and prepared to ensure a solid, compact base that won’t shift or settle unevenly over time.

Steel reinforcement is added throughout the slab to increase its load-bearing capacity and control cracking. Depending on the soil and design of the house, we may use raft or waffle pod systems to distribute weight evenly. After pouring, the concrete is levelled and cured under controlled conditions to achieve maximum strength. When built correctly, a house slab creates a stable base that keeps the structure above it strong, safe and level for decades.

Shed Slabs

A shed slab needs to do more than just hold up the walls—it’s what makes the space usable and long-lasting. The slab must be thick enough to handle the load it will carry and strong enough to resist cracking or sinking under weight. Good site preparation is key, including compaction and setting accurate levels before any concrete goes down.

Steel reinforcement adds stability, and the finish can be chosen to suit how the shed will be used. Smooth finishes are easy to clean, while textured or broomed surfaces add grip for machinery and vehicles. A properly poured and cured shed slab gives you a level, durable floor that stays functional for years, making it a solid base for storage, work or daily use.
